Monika & Andy

Monika & Andy's wedding was simply stunning. In fact some may say that it had a touch of fairytale about it.

Dumbleton hall was a grand as ever and this time I got to photograph the ceremony at the small but perfectly formed Dumbleton Church just a short drive down through the grounds. Photographing Monika getting ready was a privilege, she was so calm and took the getting ready chaos and excitement in her stride. Despite being the first to get ready in the morning she arrived fashionably late at the Church and practically ran up the Church path to get to the Andy.  However Monika glided down the aisle with her beaming smile and looked absolutely beautiful.  I could see the relief on Andy's face as the nerves fell away and he was reunited with his bride.  The guests were treated to speeches in Polish and English and the ceremony was just perfect. Next were the usual fun times with confetti and lots and lots of congratulatory kisses.  Even though it was early September the bright sun made it feel like mid summer and the guests experienced the delights that Dumbleton Hall has to offer throughout the rest of the day. Later on I think that the Vodka wedding favours really helped to get the party started as the guests quickly joined the dance floor and showcased some impressive moves.

I have to say that one of the most memorable moments of the day was Monika's and Andy's first dance. Their practising paid off as they floated across the dance floor until the last moment of the dance when suddenly a huge bang went off, confetti filled the air and Andy spun Monika around like a princess.  Thank goodness I pressed my shutter and captured the dramatic moment.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Wood, it was a pleasure to photograph your dreamy day.
