Any venue accessed up a long sweeping drive through green pastures is always a winner for me and Dumbleton Hall does not disappoint. It is an impressive venue and the perfect location for Melody and Tim’s fairytale wedding.

I had a lovely surprise when I stepped out of my car and spotted Melody excitedly waving to me out of the window. What a perfect way to start capturing their day and not to mention the stunning July weather. I had shot Melody’s brothers wedding the previous year so it felt like I was seeing old friends when I saw the Brown family again. I don’t think I have seen a bride and groom more excited to see each other as they held hands, grinned and practically jumped for joy as they tried to contain their glee at finally saying I do.

I love my job and will always embrace a bit of spontaneous fun so when Melody’s big brother photo bombed my group shot for a selfie it created a fun moment for everyone involved. Luckily I managed to get the photo too!

There were so many memorable moments from the day but there is one that truly stands out and has created one of my most favourite photos of 2015. Watching them practice their first dance in the grounds of Dumbleton hall was magical. Her dress, his suit, the soft evening light, the backdrop and the moment shared between them. Everything was perfect and created a timeless and beautiful photograph.
